How to Train Your Dragon Sea Creature

This assignment was to create a sea creature in the style of How to Train Your Dragon. (Amazing movies by the way, both 1 and 2, so if you haven't seen them yet go do it right now. My heart stops whenever I hear How to Train Your Dragon 2's soundtrack, truly fantastic.) This is a little bit of my process. I was inspired to make this cutie from referencing leafy sea dragons (seems appropriate eh?) and octopuses (my favourite animal). You can see the octopus if you look closely at my model's head shape. Modelled in zBrush then textured and light in maya.

Semester 6 Lighting Assignment 1
